Our buildings exist to be a beacon in our community of Childwall. The Church of England ensures that every community is in a Parish and every parish has a building where people can meet together. The Church of St David Childwall, through it’s people and buildings, is an integral part of the community of Childwall. Every month we communicate with every household in our Parish through our Messenger newsletter and our church, church hall, and clergy are available for all of the major events of life – baptism, weddings, and funerals.
We constantly seek to have a greater engagement with the local community by holding events open at all regardless of faith, age, or gender. Every Friday we hold a an informal Community Café allowing people to meet and talk for a couple hours in a warm friendly atmosphere. The Café is for everyone in the community not just for ‘church people’.
